                               So Near Yet So Far Away

                Your sky at night is like diamonds spread

                out on black velvet cloth.

            You know you are just behind that blackness

               make me feel that you are

             near. Yet, the span of space make you

               seem so far away

           Your sky during the day shows your royal

           color of blue with your pure light

           Showing though those puffy white clouds

            that draws me to you.

           To know that Jesus was caught up in the

          glory of those clouds,

          Lets me know that He is near. Yet, from

          this earthy place as I am

                   Looking up, He seam so far away

               Thank you God for your grace which through

                 Jesus Christ you have made us so near.

               Yet, to us sinners, you are far, far away.

         Remember, oh Lord, that for you a thousand

            years is as a thousand days.

         A thousand days seem so near,

           but a thousand years is far, far away

        The time of the end was near for all

         those who served you.

     Yet to those who ran the race to be in your

       Kingdom, it was far, far away

        Many have prayed " Thy Kingdom Come" wishing

         it was near.

         But our fear and doubt wishes it far, far away

        We are frail in this life; we don't want it to end.

        But, by believing in Jesus and His resurrection

        makes you not so far away, yes you are near to us.

        So come Oh God. Pull back the black of

     Space and the blue of skies

      and the clouds that sole our Savior

     Away. Be near to us God--not

              Faraway
