  He is your Reward

 Genesis 15:1-6- After these things the word of the Lord came unto Abram: I am thy shield, and thy exceeding great reward. And Abram said, Lord God, what wilt thou give me, seeing I go childless, and the steward of my house is this Eliezer of Damascus? And Abram said, Behold to me thou hast given no seed: and, lo, one in my house is my heir. And behold the word of the Lord came unto him, saying, this shall not be thine heir; but he shall come forth out of thine own bowls shall be thine heir. And he brought forth abroad, and said, Look now toward heaven, and tell the stars, if thou be able to number them: and he said unto him, So shall thy seed be. And he believed in the Lord; and he counted it to him for righteousness.

   Abram which later was rename by God Abraham which means Father of Nations this was God’s promised to Abraham that his seed would be so numerous that they could not be counted. They would be as the stars in the heavens. He told Abram if he could count the stars then he could count his seed but of course Abram could not. Only God knows the number and names of each star, when you think of this in this manner. Oh! How great the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob is. He spans the heavens with the palm of his hand, he spoke and then there it is. The breath of his nostrils brought many mountains low he parted the red sea and the children of Israel crossed on dry land. With the human mind it is hard to wrap our minds around the power and magnitude of his Glory and his power. If we will take the time to learn of him and truly worship him in spirit and in truth the more that we will feel the strength of his joy. The joy of the Lord is our strength. We need to know the Lord in the power of his might. The way that we come to know him in this way is through his word. Seeking after the righteousness of him that created us unto himself. These men of God were flesh as we are and they knew God in a manner that few have known him. It is up to the person just how much are you willing to take the time to get to know him. If you are inspired from this word I hope that you will take away the importance of truly getting to know the Savior. Them that know him will be strong and do exploits as it says in Daniel, I know that I quote this a lot and I am meaning to do this because I want it to truly sink in your mind and your spirit just how important it is to really know him. We are creatures of habit and the more we hear something the more it will take a hold of our minds and stay with us. That is why you will see be repeat something numerous times. I want you as God’s children be rooted and grounded in his word. I have asked God to put it in my spirit to use this web site to the fullest potential and bring words of wisdom to you that will have a full affect that will motivate you to be stirred in your spirit for the lost. To feel the need to pray and to stand in the gap for your loved ones and for your brothers and sisters in the Lord. We are not an island out to ourselves but we are a family in God and we should act as such. Not as the world because the world will destroy each other and not have the true love of God to have one for another. Abraham knew God for himself, he did not go and seek another advice about the things he was facing, he went to God. He knew that God was his source. I know that God is my source that is why when things I am not sure about I go to the Lord in prayer. Seeking out his will in my life and seeking for a word for his people. I know that I can not bring to you something that I do not have. If I do not hear from heaven concerning the word of the Lord then I would be speaking within my self and you do not need that, I do not need that. Too much flesh as being running across this nation and the nations of the world and what have they gotten? They got flesh! If everyone that was running with the gospel was sent from God with a word from the throne this world would be turn up side down. There would be many added to the church daily in big amounts as the book of Acts. We would be seeing the latter rain outpouring that is prophesy in the bible. Do not get me wrong, I know that God has his true ministers going with the gospel but they will be bringing you fresh manna from heaven and giving you sound direction for your life. They will cause you to be aware of the devil and his devices they will truly be looking out for your soul. They will stand and fight against the powers of the devil with you through the anointing of the Lord. They will not be as the hireling and run when the going gets tough. They will be as that old saying goes; that when the going gets tough the tough will get going, they will stand and fight the adversary with you. They will foremost be faithful to God and be faithful to you as a minister of the Lord. Know them that laborer among you and look at the end of that person life and if they are walking in the word of the Lord, then you can follow them as they follow Christ. Paul warned of many deceivers that were going through out the land in his time. I warn God’s people to continually try the spirits of them that they hear and receive the gospel from. Go, to your bible and line it up with the word of God and to pray for the leading of the Lord. If that man or woman of God is not preaching truth then walk away. The bible says that the blind will lead the blind and both fall in the ditch, so if you allow you’re self to be blinding through these false teachings then your out come will be the same as theirs. Let God turn your spiritual ears to his voice, he said in his word that his sheep will hear his voice and a stranger they will not follow. Do you know why this happens? It is because his sheep are seeking him for his will and seeking to know him. Thereby they know his voice. Jesus said seek me and you shall find me. He did not say maybe but shall. That speaks volumes to me. That is, I can count on it I will find him. The Lord wants what is best for your life.

    Abraham and all the great men and women of the bible they sought after him they pursued him, they pressed as Paul did. Paul says in Philippians 3:14 I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus. Let us break this down of the meaning that Paul was trying to get us to see. What is the mark that he is talking about? I looked in the Strongs complete Dictionary of bible words. This was some of the things it said. The word, mark meant understand, discern, to know, so we know that he is seeking the knowledge of his Lord, to receive the prize. Let us now take a look at prize now. It is something that you receive when you finish the race. So Paul is seeking for the prize of what? The high calling of God in Christ Jesus. So he stays pressed in his spirit to keep seeking until he receives his prize which is the knowledge, the discernment, the understanding of what his high calling is in Jesus. This brings us back to; truly knowing him. You know yourself when you first meet your mate in life, when you first met you did not know him or her. You learn along the way his/her desires, his/her  way of thinking, his/her out look on life, his/her love for the Lord, his/her temperament, his/her gentleness, his/her kindness, his/her mercy for others and toward you. So the more you learn of this mate you find that you want to be a part of their life. If along the way you find that they are different then what I describe above you know that you need to walk away that they are not for you. This is the reason it is so important to marry in the will of the Lord. It will be hard enough as it is. To marry out side of the will of God for your life, you are asking for much heartache and trouble to come your way. We learn obedience through the things that we suffer.  You know as I do from experience, life has a way of teaching us hard lessons. But some seem to never learn and they keep going head long into things that bring them much hurt. I pray, Lord help me to know and learn from these things that I do not repeat them.
