                             My God My God You Are Near

   Here I sit broken hearted, tried to pray, but not whole hearted

I tried to get my voice to you, because this old word isn't doing

                  What it was meant to do.

  I know you see us everyday as some of us try to walk in your ways

 Keep all of us who try and pray; in your Holy sight day by day.

                     We all need your greatest laws in our lives,

                     " Love You with all our hearts and minds! And

                     " Love Our Neighbor as we love our own lives."

    If men would just keep these, two laws in their minds,

there would be no more broken lives. So come back Jesus

 to a world filled with Woe; heal our hearts our souls.

    Now I know my words are clear, Thy Kingdom Come

                     with you so near.

    You my Lord will wipe away all our tears,

     Come back now to wipe away all our fears.

        MY GOD, MY GOD, YOU ARE NEAR! AMEN!
