Spirit of Truth Ministries Outreach blog

This is a blog that I have started for the Spirit of Truth Ministries Outreach Church so I can keep everyone updated on the church as it moves along. I will also have words of wisdom on it to inspire Gods people and to help the lost to find Jesus.

                                                                  The Barrel of Meal

                      The land was suffering great famine in the land and God spoke to Elijah to go to Zareiohath which belong to Zidon. He told him to dwell there for behold I have commanded a widow woman there to sustain thee. So when Elijah rose up and done what the Lord had said to him.  He saw her when he came into the gate. She was gathering sticks and he called to her and said, Fetch for me, I pray thee, a little water in a vessel that I may drink. The bible tells us in the gospels that when you give a Prophet a glass of water you will receive a Prophets reward. So we know that it moves God to give to his men or women of God that are laboring in the gospel.  To pick up the story again as she went to get his water. He called to her again and said, bring me, I pray thee a morsel of bread in thine hand. There is a reason why God wanted the widow women to do a action, in fact she did two. He ask for the water first and then the bread. She said as the Lord liveth, I have not a cake but a handful of meal in a barrel and a little oil in a cruse. See the Lord knew what she had before the man of God even ask her of the first thing. God will always ask you to do first to give so that he can give back unto you. I am not telling you to move in a spirit of greed and give. If you do that, then you are giving out of the wrong heart and God can not and will not bless that. God loves a cheerful giver and one that expects nothing in return. If you will notice in the story never once did she ask Elijah for anything? She told him she did not have a cake only meal. She went on to say I was gathering up these two sticks to cook my last bit of meal to fix a little cake for me and my son. Then we shall eat and die. She knew that within her self that was her fate. But God had a whole different plan for her. Elijah said unto her Fear not, this means a lot here God does not want us to move out of fear. If you do, you will make the wrong move just like what she had plan for her and her son. The Lord does not give us a spirit of fear but of POWER, LOVE, and a SOUND mind. So she listened to the Prophet. He told her to make for him the little cake first and bring it to him to eat and then go and make one for you and your son.  He spoke to her and said thus saieth the LORD GOD of Israel , The barrel of meal shall not waste; neither shall the cruse of oil fail. Now hear this! She went and did as the man of God said and the bible says that her barrel never ran out nor did her oil of cruse fail. God sustained her through the time of famine because of her obedience. He will do the same for you through these hard times that we are facing.

       I was in prayer and ask God what did he want me to put on the home page for this month?  And this is what he spoke to my heart. I feel like he wanted me to relate the story of the widow woman that sustain Elijah and there by sustain herself and her son. We are facing many hard days ahead of us because of the things coming upon us and our Nation. I believe that if everyone that reads this page this month will step out and obey God with what he is speaking to your heart right now. Then send it to this ministry to help me to win souls and get these things done that God has put on my heart. When you bless this ministry every soul that is brought into the kingdom of God through this ministry will be a star and jewel in your crown as well. It takes money to carry the gospel and to move forward with what he wants done here in this area.  A few has obey and help some and I am so thankful to those that have obeyed God. I am praying that God will bless you a hundred a thousand fold.  But there is still so much to do. If everyone gave what God is speaking to you right now then I believe that I can start moving forward. When you give in obedience it releases the blessings that he has stored up for you. I believe that the children of God will help the word keep going through these hard times then they will be sustained as well. Give a prove God offering then God will give to you. He said that when you cast your bread on the waters not many days it will return unto you. So go right now to the support page and get the new address and send in your love offering of any amount. You will find all the information how to send it. If you are with pay pal you can give safe and secure through the donation button. It is up to you. I was praying for the finances to keep moving forward in this endeavor and God told me if I would obey him and put this on here he would move. So I have now it is up to you.

      I want to thank God for answering prayers, there has been praise reports coming in and I have added some to the testimony page at the top. That is were from now on I will put the new ones. Be encouraged because the Lord loves and cares for you and I love and care for you too. Thank you for prayers for me and this ministry. God bless you!! Jesus is Lord!!
